Droplet - Blue by pixelmancer Droplet - Blue by pixelmancer
Because of the sheer number of comments asking this:

Permission to use these cursors for whatever non-commercial purposes you want is granted, as long as you credit me somewhere- a link back here would be most appreciated.

I've been using these since I made them a couple years back.

Finally got around to packaging them up just now.

I took advantage of XP's ability to do alpha channels on cursors and made them transparent.

The preview image doesn't even begin to do Droplet - Blue justice. ~pixelmancer has mastered a gorgeous transparency effect which is not only stylish, attractive and perfectly suited to the water droplet theme, but is also eminently practical. ( Featured by livius )

Oh, congrats on the amazing art! And that's pretty cool that you allowed others editing your creation, although it's always your choice! I really wanted to know who was the author of this beauty! Nice to meet you!

unzip it somewhere; doesn't matter where... go to wherever you unzipped it, right click on install.inf, select install. once that's done, you can safely remove the copy you unzipped, as it'll have copied it to where windows stores these things.

then it's just a matter of going to control panel, mouse, pointers, and selecting "droplet (blue)" from the list.

...and yes, this is the easiest method i could find.

Well, that's what computers where designed for. Being overly extravegant and beurocratic piles of half-minded gnashanagshansaghsnangansnha... You may have caught on I am not well-disposed to computers...
Lovely avatar, by the way.

The set looks cool but I personally find the arrow a bit inaccurate. Not that the tip is at the wrong place but selecting stuff with a drop seems odd to me.

I, however, love the hourglass! It's genius. I replace the WinXP one. Unfortunately this doesn't work with the half-arrow-half-hourglass cursor (or whatever it is called)...

I just downloaded these, and the y are pretty neat! Kind of big, so it will take a while to get use to them. But I do really like them! They fit my Vista theme SO well, it's like that's what they were made for xD The transparancy makes them kind of...futuristic, almost. Good job ^_^

i'd imagine not without converting them to macintosh format... which if anyone knows how to do, feel free, as long my name remains credited as the originator.

do you need a program to use these?
Reply
:iconlivius:
livius Featured By Owner Feb 18, 2007
Nope. You just need Windows XP or 2000.

Download the zip file and extract the contents somewhere easy to find on your hard drive.

Since pixelmancer has kindly included an inf file, you can just right-click on Install.inf and left-click on install. That should put all the cursors in their default positions.

If you want to customize it, click on Start- Settings-Control Panel and double click the Mouse icon. Click on the Pointers tab. Select the particular cursor you want to replace and click on Browse. Navigate to the location on your hard drive where you saved the cursors, click on the particular one you'd like to use and click on the Open button.

You'll see the new cursor in the preview box. If it's the one you want to keep, click Apply and move on to the next cursor you want to replace.
